Gillian 2016As is true for most of us, I found that there were many twists and turns in my life’s path before I discovered my true calling, the thing that gave me the deepest satisfaction, where I felt this is me, this is what I am here to do. As a busy magazine publisher and editor, I was surprised when, in my mid-40s, things began to fall apart and I found myself drifting away from the secure moorings of a carefully planned life into unknown territory. In retrospect, I realize I was being drawn towards a journey of self-discovery, and to discover my true calling.
I was born in Pembrokeshire, in Wales, at the foot of the Preseli Mountains where the massive bluestones from Stonehenge were quarried and transported to their final resting place in England. The Welsh have a long history of mystical tradition, going back to the magician Merlyn, and the land is littered with ancient monuments and standing stones. I had always been drawn to the mystical and the mysterious, but I did not realize when I was young that my ability of intuitive insight and “knowing” was a special gift; I thought everyone was that way. And I certainly thought of my extreme sensitivity as a burden, not a gift.

Gillian at Pentre Ifan Cromlech — Neolithic Dolmen, c. 3500 BC, Pembrokeshire, Wales

Extract: ‘The Fairy Faith in Celtic countries’ by W.Y. Evans Wentz, 1911.
The region, the little valley on whose side stands the Pentre Ifan cromlech, the finest in Britain, is believed to have been a favourite place with the ancient Druids. And in the oak groves (Ty Canol Wood) that still exist there, tradition says there was once a flourishing school for neophytes, and that the cromlech instead of being a place for internments or sacrifices was in those days completely enclosed, forming like other cromlechs a darkened chamber in which novices when initiated were placed for a certain number of days….the interior of Pentre Ifan being called
the womb or court of Ceridwen.

I moved to the US from London in the 1970s to embark upon the adventures that I was sure life had in store for me. There were plenty of adventures, but I found that the inward journey was the most exciting adventure of all. I joined spiritual groups and began to study metaphysics with local teachers. But I was not the ideal student; I was hopeless at things like seeing auras and bending spoons. However, I discovered that there was a name for the gift I’d had along: claircognizance, the gift of knowing: “the ability for a person to acquire knowledge without knowing how or why he or she knows it.“
Eventually, I realized I was a gifted intuitive and I now get the greatest joy from helping people to understand who they are at the core of their being.
The methods I employ are a unique combination of my metaphysical skills and scientifically-proven ways of measuring subtle energy such as kinesiology and divination (also known as dowsing.)
Years of practice and experimentation, along with extensive reading and research, led me to the development of the Soul Analysis scan, to the realization that the soul has a uniform structure and each person’s individuality is a reflection of a unique innate soul profile. The Soul Analysis scan forms the foundation of all the work that I do, and provides crucial information in helping someone understand who they truly are and find their purpose in life.
As an Analytical/Spiritual type with a foot in each camp, so to speak, I am both well grounded and highly intuitive and have developed a special gift for helping people function effectively in the material world while understanding and honoring their spiritual side. To know who we are at the soul-level is life changing; it’s certainly changed my life to finally understand who I am and what I am here to accomplish, and I know for certain that my path through life would have run a whole lot more smoothly if I’d had this kind of information earlier on.
Life is a glorious adventure but can be challenging if we are not sure who we are or what path to take. My wish for you is that you are led to the many blessings that life has in store for you. I am here to help you in any way I can as you progress along life’s path, so please don’t hesitate to contact me if you have any questions or would like to make an appointment. — Gillian Drake
